  • 30 Jan 2019
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (CST)
  • SCWO, 96 Waterloo Street, Singapore 187967

Organised by Maintenance Support Central

In this MSC Talks session, Wendy, single mother of 3, will address marital challenges and the importance of knowing one’s worth in a relationship. She will be sharing her personal encounters with setbacks and success and how these experiences highlight the need for individuals to have more self-awareness, social and emotional support, as well as strong mind-sets and resilience-building habits that will empower them to overcome obstacles and come out victoriously.

Wendy will also share her personal experience of dealing with divorce and abuse and how these experiences have helped to shape her in becoming the person she is today.

About the Speaker

Wendy Chua was 29 when she became a single mom of 3 young children, at the same time that she started a new role as School Psychologist of Raffles Institution. She had to counsel herself through her pain, just as she counselled others through their difficulties. In 2003, she left RI, and started her own business Wand Inspiration, and wrote “Break to Dawn” about recovering
from mistakes, failures, losses, illness and betrayals. Over time, Wendy built her self-esteem, success and willingness to trust again, and she remarried in 2008, gaining a step-daughter.

In 2013, she entered INSEAD and completed an Executive Masters in Consulting and Coaching for Change. Her latest book “The WAND Way to Resilience” integrates her personal stories with processes that she uses to help herself and others.
